A Very San Antonian Christmas Eve

Ashley's Mom and Brother are visiting for Christmas and we are having a wonderful time. We started off Christmas Eve by (finally) running our Christmas cards to the post office and going for a walk on the Leon Creek Greenway.

Then we went home to eat and get ready to go downtown for an evening full of fun! We started the evening off by attending mass at the San Fernando Cathedral. It's the oldest Cathedral in the USA!

The Courthouse at night.

Next we walked over to the Riverwalk and took a boat tour. A must at Christmas time!

After the tour we had dinner at The Original Mexican Restaurant next to Rio Rio. We even got to have some music played for us by the the Riverwalk musicians! I just love these guys! It was really cool.

The horse drawn carriages are all lit up and they are EVERYWHERE. I love the sound of their hooves on the pavement, and the horses are beautiful! Mom caught this great photo of Z creeping behind me with the carriages in the background. :)

We then drove around the University of the Incarnate Word and Alamo Heights to look at Christmas lights. After getting our fill of jaw dropping gorgeous homes we headed on home and crashed!
