Spring Break

Ashley's brother visited us over his spring break. We watched sports & movies, explored downtown, and ate great food!

EW!

Attempting to get Zack to smile for a picture...

Alamodome

He also helped us fix our truck! :p

He was able to fix it, but we still had to make a trip to a wreck yard for some parts.

Rudy's BBQ

We went to see The Lego Movie at the Alamo Drafthouse, and then we just had to get some real Legos!
There's a Lego store at the North Star Mall right next to the theater we were at, so Z finally got a Delorean set. I've been wanting to get this for some time now.

Last activity of the visit: ICE HOCKEY!

We had a great time and are so grateful David was able to visit and explore our new city with us!

XOXO

February has been a nice month. We're feeling a lot more at home in our apartment and at church.

We purchased a dining table!
It came with a leaf and 8 chairs! It's beautiful and we are so pleased with it!
I waited and surfed online for months and we got this one only after losing out on 3 other tables and being told this one had been sold. I pestered them a few days after it "sold",  crying about it and buying a brand new one from Costco (Zack's attempt to cheer me up) because I noticed it was still listed! Persistence pays off sometimes!

Our church playgroup had a Valentine's Day activity. I decided to go, and it was way cute and fun (even with screaming children, ha).

This guy loves to give kisses!

I made fudge and sent some off to friends and Zack's coworkers!

The evening of Valentine's Day we picked out some See's Chocolate, new T-shirts, and ate at EZ's (their Colorado Bison Burger is to die for).

DOGE!
WOW!

Pusheen!

Zack always gets me the loveliest tulips (my favorite fyi)!

A week after Valentine's Day I got a BIG gift! Zack made this happen:

Yes that's me in the driver's seat of a C7 Stingray!!!
It was AMAZING!!!!! I just wanted to drive it ALL day! Owning a Corvette has always been a dream of mine, and this has only made me want one more! Ha!

Since it was over halfway to Austin we made a day out of it and went to a bakery in Round Rock and then Ikea.
We had never been to one before, and were not impressed. I can see why some people like it, but we thought it was basically the Walmart of Europe.

These doughnuts (donuts?) were AMAZING.

Zack also got some bubbles:

Valentine's "Day" ended up being more like Valentine's "week" for us and it was epic!
