Christmas Card & Letter 2013

Just wanted to share our letter and card for those who might not have received one in the mail. :)

Dear Family and Friends,

It's been a couple years since we've sent Christmas cards, so I (Ashley) will do my best to get you caught up on our lives! This summer Zack drove us, our 2 cats, and all our possessions over 1800 miles from Rexburg Idaho to San Antonio Texas so he could start his new job with USAA. He is working in the bank department as a software engineer (computers). I had a phone interview for the perfect job, but didn't get invited to another interview, so my search continues for a health educator position. We've had a hard time making friends here, but we've had our fair share of fun going to Six Flags, ice hockey games, feasting on real Texas BBQ, and seeing movies at the Alamo Drafthouse. It's hot here, but we don't miss all that Idaho snow!

Zack and I both graduated from BYU-Idaho with our Bachelor's degrees, he in Computer Information Technology, and I in Health Science. I spent a couple semesters coaching competitive soccer and another as a fitness trainer for the Biggest Winner program (a weight loss program based off the television show "Biggest Loser"). I also volunteered at the Rexburg Family Crisis Center, completed my internship with Eastern Idaho Public Health District, and coached the Madison High School JV girls soccer team during their spring season. Zack worked as an Assistant Systems Administrator on campus and completed his internship on campus as well.
We were blessed to see family more than once a year with several trips to Oregon and family travelling to Idaho to see us. Visits included seeing nearby attractions like Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, Glacier National Park, Lewis and Clark Caverns, and Jackson Hole Wyoming.

Some other highlights include getting to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra for the third time, Bill Cosby live, The Piano Guys in concert, we ran in a Color in Motion 5K, I auditioned for American Idol, we got to stay a night at Destinations Inn (a themed hotel, we stayed in the "England" room), we had BBQs with friends, took trips to Rigby Lake, and we visited Salt Lake City a couple times. We had a lot of fun in college and are adjusting to this new chapter of our lives. We feel like real adults now!

We hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! God bless!

-Zack & Ashley Baldwin
