Zack is 27!

Zack is 27!!!!

Since when did we get closer to 30 than 20!? Scary!

I love this man with all my heart, guts, mind, spirit, and strength!

Since Zack's birthday was Sunday we mostly celebrated on Saturday. We started out the day by having brunch with the Nelsons. We used my new griddle!

Then we were off to get pedicures!!! It's getting difficult for me to cut, shape, and paint my own toe nails, so this was just as much a gift to me as it was Zack, ha!

After our feets were looking fleek (I'm so sorry...using the lingo is a great way to remember the times! lol), we went to Tina's house for a party. It was awesome! She's a co-worker of Z's who is fun and hilarious. Her deck is amazeballs, her house is adorable, and her yard is the perfect size. I might have some home envy. :) She served fajitas and I drowned myself with soda while getting to know some knew folks. After the sun went down Zack and I had a magical experience.......fireflies!!! We've never seen them before! They were EVERYWHERE! It was incredible! In our late 20's and still acting like kids! I love it!

Here's all the cards we got for our Anniversary and Birthdays :)

On Zack's actually birthday we did our regular Sunday routine and laid in bed extra late, ate a nice breakfast, and went to church. This was Zack's first day in his new calling as a nursery worker. This will definitely be a challenging calling for both of us. I'm proud of him for taking it on though.

That evening Stephanie came over to have cake with us and sing happy birthday. While we were getting ready to dive into the cake Stephanie is all "did you hear that?" And I'm like "wuuuuuut?" Well, there WAS a noise.....it was someone at the door.......the missionaries.....at 9 PM! Ummm? Ok? All they wanted was to "set up a time to meet with your family." I was so shocked they came to our apartment so late at night for something that could be easily taken care of with a text that I shooed them out as quickly as possible with an available time and a brownie to go. I'm still miffed by it all. Just so odd. If it wasn't for Zack's birthday and Stephanie being with us we would have been in bed in our knickers! LOL Before going to sleep, Zack briefly talked to his family for his birthday and then we were OUT. I can't get enough sleep these days!

Now it's back to the work week! Today (Monday) was absolutely fabulous. We finally got the sun back and I went on a nice, but surprisingly chilly, walk and then headed off to work. When I got home the cats and I did our usual routine of them begging for attention, chilling on the balcony with the birds, making dinner, and then hanging out with Zack. Today was extra special because Zack came home with the glass for our table. I *LOVE* it! I can finally relax a little about not destroying our lovely table. While bringing up the last parts for the table our shirtless neighbor having a smoke told me to let him know if we ever want to part with our 4Runner. Good luck with that buddy.....I know to keep an eye on you now (jk, but seriously)! ;) 17 years old and she still gets attention! :D Now we're just relaxing until bed time, which is feeling like right about NOW! :p

26 Weeks (& 3 days) for my 26th Birthday!

A couple weeks ago I realized my birthday was right around the corner and that I was approaching 26 weeks just as quickly. What a special gift! I love fun coincidences like that. :)

I worked in the morning and I just loved sitting at my fancy desk! My co-worker Emily went crazy with the crate paper and it was AWESOME! Also, note my Corvette calendar, an office necessity. ;)

I then went home and decided to eat lunch and get caught up on Nashville, when WOOOOOSH! Super SUPER bloody nose. I'm still not sure how much blood I lost, but it was enough that I got scared and asked Zack to come home. I felt bad because he was in training all week, but he didn't hesitate to hop in the car and prepare to take me to the ER. Thankfully about the time he came in the door (about 30 minutes after my nose started bleeding), it slowed down and he helped me clean up and get settled for a much needed nap. Bloody noses are a pretty normal occurrence for me, but this one was particularly bad with large clots and a constant flow (in fact, it was probably worse than the time I was in the Smith Building at BYU-I and EMS came to save me haha). I'll spare you the photos. :p

My mom woke me up, calling to wish me a happy birthday. I talked to her for a bit until she had to go see a patient. I couldn't really fall back asleep so I just hung out enjoying all the sweet Facebook birthday wishes until Zack got home with groceries to make his amazing tacos! After my semi traumatic day I didn't feel like going out AT ALL and Zack's tacos are better than any restaurant anyway!

Zack loves to give gifts, and this birthday was no exception! I got all kinds of goodies! The only thing I thought to take a picture of though was a book he got me:

It's a fabulous children's book, and I can't wait to read it to our little ones when they are old enough. By the way, do you see the towel on the floor in that photo? Well we have a leak!!! It's only been raining like every day...

When will it get fixed? No one knows, ugh! It seems to get worse with each storm too. Maintenance has been in the apartment to look at it, but no one has been up in the attic to do anything about it. Very frustrating!

Anyway! That night we Skyped with my parents and talked to Zack's Dad on the phone for a bit before dragging ourselves to bed. Zack did his best to give me a massage and then we fell asleep with the light on and I still had gum in my mouth! What a day!

At work we celebrated my birthday the day after by going out to Olive Garden where everyone sang to me and I got to blow out a candle! I love these ladies! I look a bit ridiculous because I wasn't having it when my alarm went off. I took a shower, threw on some clothes, and got my tired butt to work! Oh well, I hear it's what's inside that counts. ;)

In other news...I got an email that Adam Lambert has a new single coming out this month! Best birthday present ever? Maybe. :D

5th Anniversary

5 years ago today I married the most perfect man for me. He's my EVERYTHING and I am so blessed that he's mine for eternity! It's all gone by so quickly, but that's because we've been so busy! It's amazing how much life can change in 5 years!

To start out the big day I went to work...yaaaay. ha

Then I went on a nice 5 mile walk (I just now realized how perfect a 5 mile walk on your 5th Anniversary is)!

I then went home, relaxed for a bit, and got myself cleaned up.

When Zack got home he was submitted to another photo shoot. I'm kind of obsessive about taking as many photos as possible during this amazing and special time in our lives, and Z is usually a good sport about it. :) 26 Weeks today!

Zack got me 2 dozen roses!!! They are gorgeous! And in case you didn't know, my middle name is Rose. ;)

Kitty!

This is totally candid, and I am in love with it!

The roses are happily showing off their beauty on our dining table <3

For dinner we went out to eat at an Italian restaurant called Paesanos 1604.
It was so fancy that I only understood approximately two items on the menu (go ahead, laugh).
Zack helped me pick out an outfit, and I'm so glad he did! I LOVE my bump in this dress!

Zack had a fancy pizza, and I had a four cheese ravioli. I love Italian, and I LOVE cheese, so Ravioli is my go-to dish.

We had already opened our gifts Sunday evening, but of course Zack had to sneak one into dinner! He always outshines me when it comes to special occasions. Along with this amazing smelling candle (which goes perfectly with our living room theme) came the most adorable card that I will probably keep forever because I'm ridiculous. :D

Then we came home and had chocolate cake in bed! It was the perfect day!

Reunited

Zack and I have been super busy lately. We have basically only seen each other enough to grumble at each other before bed for about a month now. It's been tough, but we know it's temporary!

Last night when I rolled in around 10, Zack told me he had Friday off. I was so jelly! The morning came and I had to get up and go to work while Z slept in. I hopped in the car, it was dark, the lightening and thunder were doing their thing, the rain was pouring, aaand an hour later I got to work...10 miles away. Easily the worst traffic I've ever seen here in SA. When I finally got to work I was both relieved and angry at the same time. I wanted to be home in bed! That sounded much more appealing!

As if my morning could get any better, around 10 I decided to eat and was suddenly overtaken with the need to relieve myself. So I did what any grown up would do and pooped at work. And then my constipated pregnant poop clogged the toilet. I plunged and plunged, and carefully flushed and got nowhere. After about 4 flushes and lots of plunging I snuck out of the bathroom and whispered "Emily!" (Emily is my super awesome coworker) No response. So I try again louder, and then louder. Denise (the lead office assistant) hollers "she's outside!" Ugh! Emily! How what and why!? Of all the moments to not be at her desk it had to be THIS moment. So then I'm all "Denise! .... Somebody! Anybody?" So In walks Emily and Denise and I explain that I am a disgusting human being who has clogged the toilet at work. Go me! After Denise worked her magic I was just dying at how hilarious it all was and within 5 minutes everyone knew because I couldn't keep it to myself. I had caused quite the commotion. Haha!

When I finished up a work I headed home and Zack was up and ready to get out of the apartment, yay! We went on a lunch date to Ajuua. So good! Then we went to order glass for the dining table (my birthday present :D). After that we stopped by the locksmith to get some odds and ends and decided today was the perfect day to take care of getting plates for the car. Off to the tax assessment man (ya, Texas is WEIRD)! New plates, check! This meant we needed to make a stop at the auto part store. Plates on car, check!
All that work called for snow cones! Buuut we got side tracked at Rainbow Gardens. It's only the best place EVER! So after falling in love with everything we bought a little butterfly plant and continued on our journey for snow cones.
Bahama Bucks is the only way to do snow cones, so I ordered my princess cone and we were on our way back home.

Today was glorious and EXACTLY what we needed! It felt like reuniting with your best friend and going on silly in town adventures!

Now we're home, we've rubbed each other's feet, cleaned the balcony, planted the plant, received a couple packages, and now I'm in bed basically dying. Was it my enchiladas? More poop? Baby using my innerds as a punching bag? Not sure...but while I sit here feeling sorry for myself and dreaming of the walk I was going to take in the gorgeous evening sun (I don't know where the rain went, ask the weather man), I'm overcome with love for my husband and grateful for each day we are given to spend together. I am so excited for the big changes that are happening and hope when things get rough I remember wonderful, crazy days like today.

Hopefully I perk up quickly, I've got garage saling of epic proportions to do tomorrow!

25 Weeks!

25 Weeks already!!! I can't believe it! We went down to Somerset TX to see the wildflowers and take some pictures to celebrate! (Glucose test tomorrow, wish me luck!)
